The Roger Wiiliams Family Association, made up of descendants of the colonial era author and statesman, meets at Margaret’s Rock in Swansea every other year, to celebrate his survival during the winter of 1636 on his way to found the City of Providence. Click here for a 25-minute video of the event.
Members walk to the Rock through the woods that surround it and pause to share some memories of past visits.
Association President Dawn Williams shows Association Historian Mary (French) Channing some of the items in the extensive scrapbook her daughter created.
