Mayor Elorza hosts the 2nd Annual Native American Heritage Month Celebration

Providence, RI Mayor Jorge Elorza hosted the Second Annual Native American Heritage Month Celebration with members of the Rhode Island American Indian Heritage Commission on November 24, 2020. Click here for the 30-minute video of the event edited by Raymond Two Hawks Watson.

 

Rhode Island American Indian Heritage Commission Project Coordinator Jacqueline Runs Strong McKinney introduced Mayor Elorza who offered a welcome and introductory remarks to members of the Commission.

 

Pokanoket Tribe/Nation Sagamore Po Wauipi Neimpaug and Pocasset Wampanoag Tribe Sachem Suki Wampsicuk offered their greetings and thanks to Mayor Elorza for sponsoring the event.
