The Eastern Medicine Singers offered two hours of drumming, singing and dancing at the Warren, RI Walkabout event on October 24, 2021 as one of many events that day. The Pocasset Wampanoag Tribe is a member of the original Pokanoket Federation led by Massasoit, otherwise known as Ousamequin (Yellow Feather). The Warren Town Council voted to approve a Land Acknowledgement statement for the Pokanoket Tribe on July 13, 2021 .
