Bristol and the Pokanokets Welcome the Golden Rule Sailboat for Peace

The Golden Rule, a 34-foot wooden ketch docked at Rockwell Park in Bristol on June 13, 2023 as part of a national project of Veterans for Peace. The Golden Rule is currently sailing up the Eastern Seaboard, spreading its message of hope for a world free of nuclear weapons and a peaceful, sustainable future for all. Members of the Pokanoket Tribe, including Sachem Dancing Star, along with Hawk and Brave Heart Edmonds (pictured above), were present to offer a blessing and a tobacco prayer.
