3rd Annual Native American Heritage Month at Providence City Hall

Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza hosted eleven Rhode Island tribes at the Rhode Island American Indian Heritage Commission’s (RIAIHC) 3rd Annual celebration of Native American Heritage Month and Eagle Staff Day at Providence City Hall on November 29, 2021. Organized by RIAIHC with support from David Benoit, Andrew Barbero and Andi Wheeler of Mayor Elorza’s office, the event included representatives from the Wabbaquasset Nipmuc Tribe, the Mashapaug Nahaganset Tribe, the Manissean Tribe, the Natick Massachusett Tribe, the Shinnecock Tribe, the Ramapough Lenape Tribe, the Cibuco Bayamon Taino Tribe and the Eastern Pequot Tribe.
