Ernie Germani, webmaster for the Trails and Walks RI web site and Vice Chair of the East Providence Conservation Commission, led a guided hike around the grounds at Hunt’s Mills along with the Ten Mile River Watershed Council on April 8, 2018.

The event coincided with the Hunts Mills open house that takes place on the second Sunday of every month and is open to the public.

Ernie led a group of about 40 people around the one-mile path that leads from the Hunt House to the Ten-Mile River.

Ernie points out a hollow in an ancient tree along the path that’s large enough for an adult to stand in.

Walkers stop at the Ten-Mile River that flows through East Providence and then return to Hunt House where photos, tools and other artifacts from East Providence are on display.
