Plymouth 400 Executive Director Michelle Pecoraro and Program Manager Cheryl Soares held an event at the Plymouth Public Library on June 23rd to outline the upcoming events planned for the celebration of the landing of the Pilgrims in 1620. They are recruiting volunteers for a series of events that will take place between now and the end of 2020, including historical and cultural exhibitions, multi-day festivals and educational programming and resources. The opening ceremony will take place on April 24th, 2020 and an embarkation Festival will occur over the weekend of September 19-20, 2020. The Sowams Heritage Area Project plans to become an organizational partner in order to help to publicize events in Sowams.
